Ubisoft releases CSI: Deadly Intent! 28 Oct, 2009 / Comments: 4

This won't excite you in the way Monkey Island does, but Telltale's third CSI game, Deadly Intent, is available today for PC, Wii and Xbox 360 from online and brick-and-mortar retailers everywhere in North America. If you can't wait for an order to arrive or to make the trip to your local store, you can always buy the digital version straight from Ubisoft. (Edit: Or, you could, if for some reason that version weren't unavailable until the 29th.)

Ubisoft\Telltale haven't been very clear about the release. In addition to the unannounced delay of the downloadable version, there's been no official word, that I've seen, on when the game will be out in Europe. Online retailers say the 30th, which sounds reasonable, but some confirmation would be nice.

Pretty sure all this (release dates, marketing information) is set entirely by Ubisoft.

Yes, and this follows suit with the "leave me alone" tradition of their previous CSI marketing. They apparently bank on the show's not inconsiderable television viewers, rather than the gaming populace, to buy the game. And apparently that happens.

So this is the usual routine for Ubisoft then? I honestly don't remember how they handles the previous games (apparently for a god reason).

I get that "hardcore" gamers who are into the CSI games are a small bunch, and marketing aimed at that crowd isn't cost effective, but is a small press release confirming the flipping release date over here too much to ask?
