Tim Schafer versus Robot Bear 10 Mar, 2008, 15:02 / 11 comments

If you've ever wondered what would happen if Tim Schafer had to face-off with a robot bear using a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle, today's your lucky day.

A whole bunch-of other designers had to face-off with said bear as well, three of which are LucasArts+ (Mike Stemmle, Steve Purcell and Ronzo).

May I add how utterly fantastic Tim's response was? And how Joystiq kept up so brilliantly?

Lol it was epic :D The only one I didn't like was Ragnar Tornquist's, who's a good designer is general. Not GREAT but good.

Eh, whacha gonna do? Mojo's always had a reputation for creating misleading titles and I thought this was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I was going to joke a little about it in the news post but I figured it'd be too evil.

    Whoops, I changed it already!

    :o nooo

Is it Okay if I change it back again? :P I can even make it look like he killed himself unless you read the article lol

I'd be afraid of people only reading the title in a news reader and getting a horrible idea! Not that Tim Schafer can ever really die. He's like Peter Pan, The Little Prince and Karl from The Island of Apples -- but other people don't know that.

Ohhh...Kurdt Kobain all over again. Gotcha. My bad.

For all who missed what happened before the original title was "Tim Schafer kills himself after trouble at bank"

Yeah, that was a little bit too gruesome and possible. If it was something like 'Tim Schafer eaten by bear' that would make people look twice, and yet still within the realms of weird possibility. That's my take. I like the new one.

Man, for a split second then I took the first few words of the headline seriously and got a weird feeling of "omg".

Now I know a little how my parents feel when much-loved actors from when they were younger die and such!
