I mean, it sure doesn’t look like something that was slapped together over a lunch break. Go forth and download before the LucasLegal of 2001 somehow catches wind.

This is pretty much exactly what I would want out of going back to Booty Island. I always hoped that if Tales got a second season we'd go there and it'd be set at night. I still think it's worth doing in offical capacity down the line. The production value of this fan game is also pretty damn good, as close as you can get to Curse's style with what I imagine was less than a shoestring budget. I know that a changing art style has become a series staple at this point, but if any game was to get its visuals duplicated in a new entry I would probably want it to be Curse (and Return because I genuinely like it and it would be funny to see people complain again; I guess I just enjoy seeing the world burn :p )

That was a great experience. The backgrounds, the characters, the animations and the music are all far better than you have any right to expect from a fan game. Every time I fired it up, I had a moment of confusion when there was no voice acting, because my brain was telling me "this is Curse" or "this is Return" - it looks that good!

The humour is spot on too. While the English translation isn't perfect, it's still very good and the substance is exactly the sort of thing you expect from a Monkey Island game - with "too many references to grasp!" (or whatever it is that Guybrush says at one point). It's impressive how many puzzles you can fit into a limited environment, too.

If you're on the fence about trying this, it's well worth a couple of hours of your time.

Ha! It's incredible to finally see this project come to light; we've been hiding out working on this since 2016... :-)

Looks nice for a fan game! Though yeah I wouldn't have wanted RTMI to have this style.
    This is demo length, right?
Does it have an English language version? I notice the sentence line is Italian (I think)...

Yeah, it’s a small game, though the… esoteric… nature of the puzzles means it takes a couple of hours to get through. There’s an English-language option, and also Spanish and German.

I think it looks good, particularly considering the price, but the style would obviously have made no sense for ReMI.

With that, I do think the game is worth a play -- the music is good, and it’s fun revisiting Booty at night. Ballsy move putting I. Cheese into the game, too, not to mention using EMI’s Scumm Bar theme (the one I actually prefer).

If only Return had graphic like this...

...it would have been massively disappointing. The graphics we got were so much better.
