In his latest blog post, Steve Purcell provides some concept art for a Steam Mecha Max toy that was never made.
At one point I had talked to a company about making this toy. The top of the head would pop off revealing the little Captain Nemoesque Sam & Max pilots sporting goggles, top hats and ascots. Sadly it didn't happen but if I wish hard enough...
Crazy.

Update: Now Steve's got the same picture up in Mecha form, complete with a cockpit view. Enjoy!

    Didn't that new version show up in the cartoon at one point? Where they fight this giant robotic baby and their mecha Max gets banished to Japan for destroying the city, or something like that?

    Something like this would make an awesome 'homebase' instead of the street/office for the third Telltale-series btw.

    I can't believe we live in a world that will go crazy over a ticklish red thing, but wouldn't buy an amazing steampunk Max. God damnit.
