The Fate of The Fate of Atlantis 03 Jun, 2008, 14:50 / 5 comments

We've very kindly been sent some photos of the 51st issue of Retro Gamer, with its massive interview with Hal Barwood about Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Check them out:

The magazine is available in Britain now (with a confirmed supply in a train station W H Smiths), will be avialble in American Barnes and Nobles stores in late June/early July, and (this is the best part) is available now, to everyone, on the Internet, for five English pounds.

For those who missed out on buying a Maniac Mansion poster, this is probably the best deal of the year.

Man I'm looking forward to my Maniac Mansion poster. When I open that thing I'll be grinning like admiral Ackbar!

This magazine doesn't seem worth the effort though....anything in the magazine you can't see or find out online?

Yeah, there's a lot of details about the making of the game and its history that you won't see anywhere else.

Those scans are a bit small!

It is an excellent article though. My favourite bit is Hal Barwood talking about a meeting with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas (they're all old friends from film school) and talking about Fate of Atlantis as a possible Indy IV. They both loved the game, but would only consider ideas for a film that were completely original.

They're not scans, just pictures of the relevant pages. Uploading scans from a brand new magazine would be crossing TEH LINE.

    Curse that infernal line!
