Telltale launches Season 2 mini-site (Trailer included!) 29 Aug, 2007, 00:42 / 15 comments

You'd better believe it. At the moment the Season 2 page is mostly a place to house the amazing trailer, but also included are brand new screenshots (the first?) and a baby FAQ that reveals a few compelling tidbits, like what's new about this season. Improvements and additions include:
Changes to all the recurring locations, and a few brand new ones! More lively NPCs who move around the world instead of standing rooted to one spot like pieces of furniture! Even more bizarre scenarios that will take Sam & Max from the arctic to the tropics and beyond! All-new, unique mini-games in every episode! Characters who pipe up of their own accord with useful information if they think you're stuck! Updated driving game with improved controls and the ability to upgrade your DeSoto! ... Flint Paper!

Also, Sam can run now if you want him to, and the games will finally support those giant widescreen monitors the kids seem so crazy about these days.
If that all sounds awesome, that's because it is.

Best trailer ever made (sure, an overstatement, but it's a pretty good trailer, anyway)!

Jake, are the graphics in the trailer a taste of things to come, or was the trailer made completely in Maya? Please say the former :)

Nevermind. I just read your reply to a similar question in the TT forums. :(

Funny that Telltale has already managed to match the artistry, sound production, and solid game design of LucasArts when the game was originally cancelled? and they?re (assumedly) making a profit while doing it.

    Screw you, you marketing bastards.

did you know Steve Purcell actually asked to get the rights to Sam & Max back straight after LucasArts canceled Freelance Police and they wouldn't give it to him! What a disgrace.. Here is someone who has made a great contribution to LucasArts.. they've canceled the game, they are not going to use it and they refuse to give him back the rights..pathetic.. Long Live Telltale

Silhouette of Flint for the win.

Also, the trailer has a certain Jake flavor to it. I'm just saying.

I did all the still cards that pop up throughout the trailer, and came up with the original concept of the sort of montage of Sybil and Linoln on a date, rats gambling in the alley, etc, but it was directed by Joe Henke, Telltale's "Cinematic Artist."

This is exactly the fuel Remi wants to further mock me, I am well aware, but I'm good for it.

I do not "mock," I "eloquently comment on."

It's awesome. I love the still cards. Great stuff man. Looking forward to season 2!
