TSB continues the TMI lovefest (plus Mike Stemmle Q&A) 07 Jul, 2009 / Comments: 10

The young, hip Mojo had its say, and now old grandpa SCUMM Bar follows suit. Hint: the reviews are pretty similar, down to not having a score.

But screw reading this, go read the review!

UPDATE by Chris: Elsewhere Deep in the Internet, occasional Mojo podcaster and long-time IRC stalker MrCoulomb/SurplusGamer has a nice Q&A session with Mike Stemmle about the game.

UPDATE by SurplusGamer: Gee, thanks. Only about a million weeks late, there ;)

I fully expect you to compare the music to the Dinky Island cues.

Will have to wait for the official release. We're not on the first page of "Monkey Island" google search! ;)

It's funny what we've been saying about the Flotsam town music.

Mojo: "The music for Flotsam Island town isn't that far from Woodtick"

SCUMM Bar: "The music around Flotsam Island is very similar to that from Revenge (think Phatt Island)"

TalesofMI.net: "The Flotsam town music has a very similar feel to Booty Island from Monkey Island 2"

I actually think that Remi is closest, but I guess they're all kinda similar anyway.

I think you could get away comparing the cues to any of the islands from Revenge. The reason I compared it to Phatt, though, is the accordion (I assume that's what it is at least!) and the lingering synth strings.

I think the brooding atmosphere is closest to Phatt.

Of course, Flotsam also stands on its own.
