There's a new Attractive trailer for Strong Bad, which, as you all know, is the Wiiware/PC game coming in July from Telltale. Take a look: it's good gameplay footage.
Also, three lucky people will get to win the first episode of the Wiiware version from Nintendo World Report Telltale. All you have to do is to create a Mii, submit it and bribe the judges. Good luck to everyone, and come on Strong Bad!
I'm finding it hard to get excited about a game with such a low level of graphics and basically nothing much on the screen.. thats wiiware for you I guess

Really? Do you know the series that has been around since... forever? Making it more complex-looking than that would be a sin to all the fans of the show.

Or maybe that's exactly how the flash series looks. You know, the things this game is based on.
I'm not familiar with the limitations of Wiiware from a technical standpoint, but surely it doesn't take much thought to recognize that they're trying to emulate the look of the flash toon here?

Well, graphics isn't everything. Actually graphics is nothing. The artwork (which I think is the word we should start using instead of "graphics") is pretty good, though; it manages to be 3D while looking very 2D and exactly similar to the original shorts (http://www.homestarrunner.com): http://files.nintendic.com/wii/strong-bad/strong-badstrong-bads-cool-game-for-attractive-people-episode-1-20080410034703960640w.jpg This is brilliant. It looks completely cartoony and yet it has a Z-axis.

Yea, I have been really unimpressed with the graphics, thus far. What I like about the site is that everything is simple and crisp. With the game, everything is simple, but blurry. Hopefully this can be fixed as the season moves on.
It's not just that... it's all the videos on the Telltale site, as well.

It's almost as if video compression somehow blurs images. Shocking.

I've noticed that happens sometimes. It's okay, the actual game is pretty clear.

Why doesn't it happen with the Sam and Max videos, then?

Funny - check!
I've a feeling people will be expecting Sam & Max-levels of quality from it and will be disappointed - can't fit as much on WiiWare as on PC after all.

Actually the contest is from Telltale, Nintendo World Report just posted about it the other day. :)
