Brandon Boyer is a video game journalist and video game developer who was denied coverage for his surgery to remove his cancer by his medical provider Humana (leaving him with over $100,000 in medical bills).
There's a humble bundle going on now that will donate all proceeds to the Brandon Boyer Cancer Relief Fund (with any excess funds from this promotion being donated to a select cancer research organization). The minimum purchase price for the bundle is $25, and will get you 27 indie games and 18 game soundtracks (both of which include Double Fine's Stacking).

Man, now I'm really curious what was in this post before. I think Mojo is small enough to let everyone post whatever they want. I miss the crazy LSD-rants we used to have.
Yeah, I don't see that stopping anytime soon. Be it whatever was said earlier in this update, LSD evangelism, or insinuations (jokingly, of course) about killing royals, it's all a proud Mojo tradition. Whoever has an issue with it can easily skip past the post(s).

He was denied coverage just because he told the doctor that he had stomach aches in the past. The Affordable Care Act finally puts an end to healthcare providers getting away with this outrageous behavior in the United States by forcing them to cover people regardless of existing medical conditions, but unfortunately it only covers conditions that were treated after January 1st, 2014, and Brandon had his surgery in 2013.
But, yeah. I agree, this is better for the comments than the front page.

I'd appreciate if politics were left off this site, especially on the main page
