Schafer sticks it to LEC purists, goes with Sierra 08 Sep, 2006 / Comments: 6

As mentioned earlier, Double Fine is shacking up with Vivendi for its next game, and great news that is. Now slightly more interesting is the fact that the game, a "brand new creation", will be published under the Sierra banner. Back in the Monkey Island days there was, of course, quite the LucasArts VS Sierra debate rolling. In fact, look at certain forums and it will seem that it is still alive and well.

So ironic indeed. Read more.

Well, better modern day Sierra than Modern Day LucasArts, in my eyes.

I like how the way Martin Tremblay looks like an idiot who doesn't know people he's working with.
"Double Fine's track record for producing innovative, original and fun titles"... "titles".
Emphasis on the plural of titles. I think it's embarassing for him, but I guess I'm the only one who does.
And about Schafer going to Sierra... I. REALLY. DON'T. CARE. Any sensible gamer should feel the same.

Psychonauts alone is a good enough track record.

Double Fine has two games, actually... Psychonauts, and the one they're making right now (which I would assume Tremblay has seen, since VU's paying for it and all)

Tim and his team do have an amazing track record. Sure, Double Fine as a brand name only has one game, but the people working there collectively under that brand have worked on some of the best games to come out of America.
