Sam & Max news within the month? 10 Oct, 2005, 21:45 / 5 comments

In this short interview with Telltale Games, the company discusses a bit about the future. Sam & Max news will be posted by the end of the month. Work on the second Bone game (still presumably based on only The Great Cow Race) is well underway, as you might have gathered from Dave Grossman's blog from last week. Telltale assures that the episode will be longer. The long-rumored "game based on a popular television series" will be published next year by one of Telltale's "partners." Check out the rest, won't you?

I wonder if the announcement of some concrete Sam & Max news will happen to coincide with the activity of a certain person's web site. Here's hoping!

Personaly I think it?s a shame that they couldn?t just release the already nearly complete sam & max 2 instead of some short new game. I know Lucasarts probably has the rights to the unfinished code but still it vould be nice. It also seemed to have the humour and spirit of the original. And it vould truly be a shame to let all that material go to waste.

I'm guessing if that was possible Telltale would have done it. Yeah, it's sad. I'm sure Telltale is happy to start fresh though.

Man, this is welcome news. Makes me feel like all that moaning about the cancellation of freelance police and letter writing made a difference. Eagerly awaiting the new announcement(s)

So it would seem the "TV License" game will be boxed & on retail shelves?

That should keep some of the luddites happy.

Also it's worth noting that in the Q&A Telltale says that they consider the release of Bone to have been a success. Hope there's truth to that.
