Sam & Max (Nearly) Save Christmas 20 Dec, 2007 / Comments: 10

In case playing through the game's not enough for ya, Telltale have released a machinny... makinama... mcnugget... short game film thing based on Sam & Max: Ice Station Santa, although there are a number of differences particularly with the Three Spirits. And I say short, it's actually about 20 minutes!

See it at GameTrailers now, although Telltale promise it will be up in some other form on their website soon. UPDATE: Ahh, there we go!

    Well, that was misleading. It's just a gameplay video of sorts with a few alterations. Not really a machinima video. :(

    Heavens forbid it's some kind of promotion, eh?

    In a broad sense, yes, it is machinima (machine cinema), but since it rarely deviates from what you actually do in the game, it doesn't follow machinima "rules". Would you consider the Full Throttle gameplay movie machinima?

    Oh, I'm not denying it's promotional. :)

    I just found it interesting that a self-proclaimed machinima expert wrote it up on his blog without any prodding from us whatsoever!

    There are definitely a few differences all over the place - like characters in different locations.

    I particularly love the Boxing and the ad break! Pity they cut out the Maim-tron.
