Question: How many more copies of Psychonauts do you really need? 17 Mar, 2020 / 3 comments

Answer: At least one!

Let me quote iam8bit:

iam8bit, Limited Run Games and Double Fine Productions have joined forces to bring you this exclusive variant to one of our favorite games – the seminal, superb and scrumptious Psychonauts! Originally intended to be sold in person at the 2020 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, the event’s postponement inspired our collective teams to make this an online exclusive release event instead, with only 500 copies of this highly collectible version available on each of Limited Run Games’ and iam8bit’s webstores.

Get ready to pick it up tomorrow at 9 AM PST. I mean, just look at the Scott C. cover. Available for PS4 for a mere $29.99.

I picked up the iam8bit special edition of Grim Fandango. Was a HUGE waste of money. Would never do it again :(

Damn that's a nice cover. I can't believe I might actually have to buy another version of this game.

man, the PC version is the ultimate way to enjoy such games on PC crt monitor!
because this game has unlocked framerate, so you can enjoy silky smooth motion on high refresh rates. 1024X768 @85hz was the mainstream of 17 inch CRTs, and most 2000-2008 games were meant to be played at this res.
and based on my personal exp, psychonauts is meant to be played at 1024X768 even tho it supports any res you throw at it, because if you go any higher on a crt you will notice that the flame meter doesn't show up while casting without moving the camera around.
    i tried all 1280×960, 1400×1050, 1440×1080.
and as far as i know this game never had an official widescreen patch, there is a fan made one.
