Psychonauts.com Exists 06 Sep, 2004 / Comments: 6

Looks like Majesco has put up an official page for Psychonauts, at the predictable URL of Psychonauts.com. Psychonauts.com used to point to some sort of rockabilly band called "Psycho Charger" who were formerly called "The Psychonauts," but renamed around the time Microsoft announced Tim Schafer's game in 2002. I don't know if those events are related, and I don't particularly care, but this news post would be pretty sparse if I hadn't brought it up.

Also on the Psychonauts website are a handful of brand new screenshots, and some bullet points about the game that probably came from the game's press release. Check it out.

Wow. Now that I know more about the game, I can't wait for it to come out. Oh wait, I still wouldn't be able to play it. Not unless it was made for PS2 or GameCube.

You do know that there's a PC port planned, right?

This isn't the kind of game I'd like to play on a PC. These action games have excellent effects and stuff that consoles can handle, but on a PC I'd have to turn off. Plus, an analogue joypad beats a keyboard any day of the week.

But it's PSYCHONAUTS! If it's a choice between not playing it and playing it on my pc I am ON that pc... gaming... experience like a... maybe a magnet or something... that would stick to a pc. Like GLUE!

    True, true.

Also, as an American, I always somehow subconsciously think the spelling "analogue" should be pronounced "an-a-low-goo."

Damn that Schafer. You realize how inconvenient it's gonna be to get my Physcho-Charger t-shirts now?
