Ok, so it takes a little - a lot - of goodwill to come to that conclusion from this Gamasutra interview, but anyway... This is what Steve Purcell has to say:
Would I get back into games? Sure. The [Sam & Max] license is back in in my hands now so we'll see what happens in the near future. So we'll see, I guess. Check out Gamasutra for more.
Why not associate all these people to continue the game?
One thing that has been discussed amongst fans is LucasArts selling selected game assetts - 3D models, textures, recorded voice, script, plot etc. If Telltale could aquire those things and use essentially the same story to make their episodic games on their in-house engine, that would be a great solution.
I hope it's not a dodgy sequel, the problem is that they won't be able to put many in jokes in (ie Monkey Island) because of the fact that it's not Lucas Arts. Will the old voice actors return to fill their posts?
