Mata Hari released... we guess 26 Jul, 2009 / Comments: 8

Apparently the Hal Barwood/Noah Falstein-advised Mata Hari is now out in US stores, although GameStop haven't heard of it and Amazon are only offering that double pack with a Sherlock Holmes game, and that doesn't ship for "1 to 3 weeks" (Amazon slang for "out of stock").

If you want it though, Direct2Drive may be your best bet as GamersGate have it for a frankly ridiculous price.

Really? It's supposed to be bad? That's a damn shame, was looking forward to that!

I started playing it a couple of days ago, but just don't feel like continuing.
Although the story might be good, I'm actually bored.
    - Lots of walking back and forth and the way of transportation doesn't help one bit.Really tiresome.
    - Minigames to just lenghten the game.
    - A dialog system with images of topics at bottom, which has to be clicked then clicked again on the person you want to talk to/with!

I went looking in Best Buy yesterday but couldn't find it near the Nancy Drew or Sherlock Holmes games.

Hah. Hopefully I would have noticed the lack of their names anywhere on the box, or otherwise I would be pretty disappointed with their puzzle design choices.

£36? Are they fucking insane? £14 is pushing it.

I'm definitely curious to play it but I can't really justify that much for a game that's, by all accounts, pretty awful.
