Knights of the Old Republic set to become a movie 24 May, 2019 / 5 comments

Because the world needs more Star Wars movies, and Disney apparently has burned through original content, it is now sinking its grubby white gloves into the seminal Knights of the Old Republic. I mean, I assume it’s seminal—had I played through it further than the first ten minutes, I might have more of an opinions.

The film is set to be written by Laeta Kalogridis, co-writer of Battle Angle: Alita, and Mojo will follow the development with the type of vigor usually reserved for Willow.

Had Disney not chosen to dismiss other SW authors like Zahn, they would have had plenty of fine material for other movies.

Not sure I follow that logic, considering that it was Disney who finally gave the fans an actual, realized version of Thrawn on Rebels and who green-lit three canon novels from the guy in the last three years.

George had roughly a decade to adapt his original trilogy of books, and gave us the prequels, instead; Zahn's work has been given more encouragement since the Mouse took over than the pre-buy LF apparatus ever did.

I'm excited for the "choose your own ending" in the theater, not unlike the movie Clue. :D

Fun fact, when Clue was released in the cinema you only got one ending. Which ending you got depended on which cinema you went to (a marketing gimmick). When it was prepared for home viewing they added the multiple ending ending that you see today.

I always said it had a better story than the prequels
