It's like some sort of wave! 02 Oct, 2004 / Comments: 12

Big News! Though the Playstation 2 announcement was the beginning, it seems as if the aformentioned wave is upon us. Psychonauts.com sports a new full on redesign, full of things to poke around and look at.

There's freaky new screenshots, a news page with news thats actually about the game, a page for "new recruits" to sign up to gain access to the grey matter page, which contains get a most important bit...

The brand new Psychonauts trailer, featuring all sorts of characters and dialogue and artwork and gameplay and... New Psychonauts trailer! Go take a look. Also I don't know what that fake Beetlejuice music is about. It doesn't sound like music from the game. But whatever, the trailer is awesome and you're obligated to go look at it now.

Go sign up and poke around. Woot.

Note: You're best off getting the large version of the MPEG format trailer, as it's bigger than either of the QuickTime formats, brighter, and only 20 megs more. They seemed to have some funkiness encoding the QT versions.

What's to be heard when you hover the mouse on "Dive in" in the intro screen of the website ?
Great dubbing in the trailer ! The actors' talent brings me hope back for this game.

This trailer arouses and excites me in ways I can't possibly begin to describe.
Wait, I can. And have done, at length, to everyone I meet.

The Super Mario sunshine one, but in Nightmare mode. And you save you pals brains or something, instead of collecting coins, or saving princess.

I dont think the trailer was done inhouse. Example, the animated logo at the end was red and toally not the finished one that appears just a few seconds later. Rushed... And the idea of the trailer wasnt focused either, like the first ideed was.

To say something posetive: I really like the feel of the website. Very nice! Good with wallpapers, screens, and the trailer and etc.

Yeah the trailer seems to have been put together by Majesco. That said, it's really enjoyable and makes everyone excited about the game, which is the point of putting out trailers. So, good work
