As part of a strategy to make money without actually doing anything, Lucasfilm has licensed out the Indiana Jones property to Zynga, the developer of Farmville, so that our years of waiting for the archaeologist to join the browser-based social gaming craze can finally draw to a close. According to Zygna, the fun will begin next month:
The company announced Friday that a "very special integration" will be made with its new Adventure World and the character starting in October.

They already changed the title screen to say "An Indiana Jones game". I believe more substantial modifications will follow in October. So no, it's not Desktop Adventures 2, although I'd say it's close enough.

The horror! The horror! I had wished for another Indy adventure game, but with the direction the franchise has taken since 2008, I'd rather not have anything Indy at all ever again.
Sadly I totally agree with this.
The best Indy games lately have been the Lego ones, but I'd love something like Fate of Atlantis again *sigh*
On the upside with my expectations so low, maybe I will be surprised (though probably not).

So far I have been immune to these Zynga games. I hate them, and the people I see playing them, with a passion.
So if you saw a person playing one on a bus, you'd smash their little noses in?
Unless it is Desktop Adventures 2... No, get a hold of yourself, clone. Yoda Stories...
But I must admit these people are smart, because they might just be pulling me, and people like me...like us(perhaps), in...maybe. Damnit!
I bet they are doing the same with other target groups or markets they haven't conquored. Like a PoliticsVille, JesusVille and ArtsVille. Although I wouldn't be surprised if these already excist.
