Happy St. Patrick's Day from Autumn Moon! 16 Mar, 2007, 00:26 / 10 comments

Apparently they're using every holiday as an opportunity to draw some awesome A Vampyre Story art and share it with everyone. And I ain't complaining.

Ok, I love a bit of Autumn Moon news just as much as anyone,... But seriously, That drawing looks terrible. I mentioned that the artwork was getting a bit shoddy last time. But this looks like some bad fan art?

I appreciate AME's occasional efforts to make something for their fans, though things like that aren't really warming me to the characters or the game.
Hopefully things will be different as the game becomes closer to reality, and they have more to show for their efforts on it.

All their PR is handled by their publisher, Crimson Cow, so they can't just reveal stuff when they like. They do have a lot to show; they're just not allowed to do it yet.

OK, but then I wonder why Crimson Cow is waiting so long before sharing the material with us ;)

Oh, and by the way, I like the new artwork!

Remember, the game hasn't even been in production for a year. Autumn Moon has been around for years, but they spent that time doing preliminary work while looking for a publisher. And anyway the media onslaught wouldn't come until much closer to the game's release.

Nicely stylised, I have no problem with the interpretation of that fun, throwaway seasonal image...

    I think the art's great!

This and the last one were not drawn by Bill Tiller, but by Jean Louis Sirois, who's I think a character designer for Autumn Moon. And they're not terrible, though they're probably not representative of the game's style, either.
