Ghost Pirates trailer reveals nothing 24 Aug, 2009, 00:08 / 9 comments

Autumn Moon's Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island has had its first trailer made available, which you can see at the ever-dependable Pumpkin Post. The trailer isn't that impressively cut together and you won't really learn anything, but the game's visuals remain awesome-looking.

Go watch!

I'm just getting more and more excited about this game! It's a good thing I've got Tales of Monkey Island to keep me going in the meantime!

I was more excited to see this, but on second viewing, yeah it's cut pretty awkward. I imagine the game should be great, even though some of the character animation is iffy.

I think Bill Tiller is more than welcome to use the swirly clouds he introduced. I mean aren't we sort of considering this an official unofficial Monkey Island game? :)

Eh... The backgrounds look good by themselves, but the overall feel is just too static when compared to the panning cameras and zooms of TMI.

Hopefully the writing will have a bit more oomph than (the little, albeit) what was shown in the trailer.

I think it looks great. The visuals far more impressive then TOMI. Very poorly cut together i agree.

It does look like CMI, but lets face it, thats what most monkey fans want. It's just his style :)

    Wow...
I'm sorry to say this, but it actually gave me kind of a Monkey Island rip-off feeling. :S
It even had the curly clouds, which I know come from Tiller, but have been encorporated into the whole Monkey Island style.

The beginning certainly did, it looked identical to CMI's opening Monkey Island shot. After that I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Wow, that actually looks pretty cool.
