LucasArts has announced the first of several upcoming games which will be featured at E3: Star Wars: Galactic Battleground. This game was previously mentioned in LEC's February press release.

Battleground will be a real-time strategy game where the player can take the role of the Empire, Rebel Alliance, Trade Federation, as well as other civilizations, including Wookiees, which everyone knows are just cool.

The game, in collaboration with Ensemble Studios, will be based upon the RTS engine used in Age of Empires.

    There's nothing wrong with Star Wars, but I don't like that LEC only concentrates on Star Wars games.

    I totally agree with you. and i feel this game doesnt look that bad. i might get it(through a friend). But im a pure adventure gamer.

    Indeed. Age of Empires/Kings are really fun games! Could this be the first genuinely successful, fun Star Wars RTS? If so I'll give it a try! The graphics look like they need some work though :P

    If you point at the broken glass you will see that the next two are revealed in a week's time... (Ugly graphics on this one, BTW! I've seen Civ2 Scenarios with better looking starwars units than this!)
