The Dutch television program Gammo has raised itself just slightly above other pulp gaming television by doing a 'refresh' review of Full Throttle. I caught a rerun of the program last night, but the item may be posted on their website soon.

Full Throttle was run either in SCUMMvm or the new Entertainment Pack edition and looked absolutely beautiful on the TV screen. Ignorant as they may be, Gammo called Full Throttle a special game because it's about bikers who are 'real American characters', and said there were no aliens, knights, beasts or other fantastical characters. I guess they didn't remember the Cave Fish -- or the futuristic hover cars!

    Full Throttle *does* look great on tv. You telling me that Gammo and I are the only ones to ever pipe FT through video out?!?!?!?!?

    C'mon, guys - grab those svideo cables, a smashing nvidia or ati card with svideo out, pipe it to a tv, and enjoy (I had it up on my 27" tv the day I bought my first video card with tv-out.)

    Maybe they'll be nice to everyone and bundle FT1 along with FT2 on consoles, as it does look pretty pretty on TV. I guess FT's pixel hunting puzzles (and it has a surprising number of them for its short amount of puzzles) would be very sad on a television.

    I don't know, the thought of trying the minefield puzzle's solution with a joystick controller isn't a happy one :)

    a cool collector's edition of FT2 would be neat. including ft1 and the bandanna! and a mini-poster, and ... zzzzzz

    What do you mean? Hover cars are a part of every day life here in America. Are you telling me you guys don't have hover cars over there in Europe?!

    Yeah, really! All our bikers use hoverbikes nowadays. After all, Full Throttle was years ago. And everyone else? Well, they mostly drive minivans.

    Me neither. I just happened to zap past it at 0.30. IMHO Gammo fits nicely among V8's softporn / extravagant parties / reality soap programs. It's pure crap, just like the other three game shows in Holland :(
