Entertainment Pack Hands-On 18 Dec, 2002, 16:06 / 5 comments

Everyone's favorite hat stand, The Wibble Wobble Hat-stand, has a page dedicated to the recently discovered LucasArts adcenture classic compilation, "Entertainment Pack" (see our previous story). Take a look at the page on WWHS to learn about what was updated for XP and 2K compatibility, and take a look at some of the improved visuals (some say they're improved) with a couple screenshots of Full Throttle and Sam & Max. Check it out.

Why only these four games? What about MM, DOTT, Loom, Zak, MI1,2,3. Indy games? Now that would be an adventure pack.

Wild guess - sequels are coming up for Sam & Max and Full Throttle, and LEC seem to be hinting about a Grim sequel sooner or later. The Dig was a simple choice since they just bundled the '95 version (same with Grim really).

I got the pack today, unfortunately when I tried it I found that the sound quality in S&M, FT and The Dig is really bad... The speech and music are very "hissy", as if being played at a low sample rate. However playing the games through ScummVM gives sound which is just as clear as it was in the days of DOS. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?
