EMI bundled in iMacs 14 Aug, 2001 / Comments: 7

Apple has started a new promotion to bundle some new software into currently shipping iMacs. included in the bundle are such titles as Simcity3000, Tombraider the last relevation, Escape From Monkey Island and Star Wars Pit Droids. Pretty interesting to see what Lucas Arts (and Aspyr) have got their marketing guys up to.

How dare LEC do a promotional deal with Mac, especially for the iCrap?! Heh, LEC should only make Demos for Macs, that way, if the user wants to play the game, he has to go out and buy a real computer ;)

Wow, that IS interesting. I guess LEC has dropped it's Largo-like embargo on Macs for the time being. If only they would port the classics, FT, Dig, CMI, Grim, etc. I don't own a Mac but I still think that it's kind of unfair.

That's VERY unlikely to happen. Almost no-one ports old games, for good reason.

Well, Grim's not THAT old, and it's still selling well, for a game that's off the shelves. And they already ported a game with the same engine.
