EMI For PS2 Announced 15 Mar, 2001, 19:57 / 7 comments

LucasArts has updated their site with the announcement (as predicted) of EMI for the PlayStation 2. The game, not suprisingly, looks nearly identical to the PC version, except the font used for dialogue, etc has been changed to a bulkier one as to be read easier on TV screens. There are six screenshots at the EMI Product Spotlight page, if you're interested. Here's a bit from the press release:

"For the past 10 years owners of PC's have solely been able to enjoy Monkey Island, one of LucasArts' premier brands," says Tom Byron, director of product marketing for LucasArts. "Escape from Monkey Island gives PlayStation 2 players the chance to be captured by this clever and comical graphic adventure series."

The games gonna fail, simply cos Playstation gamers are will know nothing about MI because they are currently brainwashed by Sony's ability to make CGI-women with over-sized tits... (shame they spend more time rendering these women than actually making a decent console! Sony... we're not ALL pathetic geeks...)

This Clearly shows that EFMI was made simple so that GEORGE LUCAS COULD HAVE MORE OF OUR F*%$#?G MONEY!!!!!! MONKEY ISLAND BELONG ON PCs and should not be ported to PS2

I think Monkey Island belongs on the Amiga and the people who decided to release it for any other system should be hunted down and recycled as dog food. Or something.

Groovy! Exact same game, but each scene'll probably take 1 hour to load up like the console versions of Broken Sword

It's always good to see LucasArts making even more players happy with their latest genuine Monkey Island (tm) parody! Help them Obi Wan, you're their only hope...

You couldn't help yourself, right? Well, that's enough. We get the point. EMI isn't up to your standards. Woo hoo.
