The first episode of the oddly titled Monkey Island Tales -- Tales of Monkey Island for the rest of us -- is now available for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Telltale recommends at least the 3GS to play it, though if history has taught us anything, the iPhone 4 will make it a whole lot more satisfying.
Download it at the App Store because your OCD will force you to get it for every platform possible.

So I don't have an iPhone but I'm really curious - how does this perform?
Surprisingly well on a 4S at least. A few slowdowns and not as detailed as the PC version on the highest setting, but overall better than I had expected. Mostly very smooth.
Plus the inventory screen is better than the PC version.

That "Monkey Island Tales" name will haunt everyone forever. It is the worst, and surprisingly hard to change, apparently.
On the plus side, it has turned into this decade's "Dan Pettit".
