Dark Forces on your PS3/PSP 05 Apr, 2010 / 7 comments

The 1996 shooter Star Wars: Dark Forces will soon be available on the Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable consoles -- no official announcement has been made, but the game has been rated on both consoles by the ESRB.

It is assumed that Dark Forces will be available for digital download, as it already is for PC users on Steam. The estimated price is one piece of eight, or two pieces of four. Either way, it'll be cheap.

(Thanks to clone 2727 for the tip).

Dark Forces was pretty much Jedi free.

Ah, I've never played it.. Thought it was about Jedi because of the sequels.

Which is why I like it the most in the series. It is so different from all the other Star Wars games out there, except maybe Republic Commando but I never played that.

No. The Dark Forces here is just the original PlayStation version (which paled in comparison to the DOS and especially Mac versions).

Even on the new and improved Mojo, no one comments on the Star Wars posts.

Looks good, at any rate. Hopefully this means DFII will be up at some stage. I immensely enjoyed the demo as a kid, and mean to play through the full game, someday.
