Brütal Soundtrack Released... no, not that one, the one Gabez might actually like 17 Nov, 2009, 04:44 / 10 comments

Resident music (and poster) maestro Laserschwert has pointed out to me that the Brütal Legend Soundtrack is now available to download... but it's not the licensed song list, it's Peter McConnell's Original Score for the game, plus 'Girlfriend' by Kabbage Boy (yay!).

It's available from most versions of Amazon (UK, US, German) and is also in the iTunes Store.

It may be incomplete as it "only" seems to be 39 minutes long, but it's also only $8.99/£7.99, so I think you can afford that... can't you?

Update by Remster: For those of you already paying for eMusic, you can download it for 12 credits. A good deal for sure.

Personal favourite track - 'Spirit of Bladehenge'. Beautiful bit of guitar there.

    Put it out on vinyl!

I don't think it's incomplete, the game didn't contain as much original music as you might expect from a Schafer game — the massive amount of licensed metal did a lot of the work.

Yeah I only saw Peter McConnell once in all my pauses of the game. I don't remember any of his music in fact, but I'll probably buy this anyway :~

Hee, there is actually a decent amount — all the music you hear while generally roaming on foot is his (relatively short cues sadly), as well as much of the cutscene stuff. It's hard to remember it due to all the metal excellence, though.

I actually thought it was a fair amount, and also pretty noticeable. Definitely high quality at any rate.

More importantly, you can get it on eMusic also.
