Any review yet specific to the PC version? Or details about the improvements and new things?

I guess it was too much to also ask for Mac support?
Aaaaaand Linux!
BTW today Steam for Linux is out of the beta and available in the Ubuntu Software Center (i.e. more integrated than before)

Nah, that's only the music that's played IN the game. As DoubleFine's Nathan stated, the separate soundtrack does NOT include the licensed songs. So the question remains, if the separate soundtrack does contain more music than THIS.

Well, steam claims this release has all the music.
I WAS talking about the in-game music. I thought we all were. That's what BL's licensing troubles and the delay of PC release were all about.

Ahh, so the game itself has the proper licenced Heavy Metal songs intact? Phew, at first I thought they'd been stripped from the game.

If this is a pre-order, why is the Steam client downloading it right now!?
free multiplayer beta, apparently. you didn't waste any time, did ya MMonkey?
If this is a pre-order, why is the Steam client downloading it right now!?A visit to the Double Fine website explains it: the multiplayer beta is available right now. Never mind!

Well, steam claims this release has all the music.
"The music in Brütal Legend is truly massive. Made up of 108 of the most rocking tracks from 75 different bands representing every sub-genre of metal, it is something to experience in and of itself.."
Anyway, this news rocks regardless.
It's all of the original music for the game.
Does that mean it's the same as the digital download version of the soundtrack (as seen on Amazon, etc.), or is it really ALL of Peter McConnell's music for the game? I'm pretty sure the MP3-release wasn't 100% complete...
"It's all of the original music for the game and doesn't include any of the straight licensed music. "
Bit of a bummer, I hope that we'll be able to import music into the single player campaign.
I wonder what they had to go through to clear the music stuff. Will Double Fine's lawyers proceed to get The Wonder Years on DVD, too?
Pre ordering now.
Any news on release date?
