Price change doing the rounds - now ?9.99 and in retail stores. Much better value and gives access to some less initiated gamers ;-0

?20. That's ridiculous. For all you Americans out there, that's about $40. You can get 6 SAM & MAX EPISODES for $5 less.

Lush boxes. Bad price. Hopefully that'll go down over time.

The price seems excessive. Nice boxes though.

Has anyone else noticed this bad trend of the US not getting games?

You can buy CD versions direct from Telltale (though they're presently on back order). But you can download and play the game(s) while awaiting your CD. They're way cheaper than the Xider releases, so Im not really sure what the problem is, unless you're a box collector.

Are the games long enough in playtime to warrant that kind of price and being released seperately? I think that that's the real question. They aren't full length games, are they?

?20 each is obscenely expensive for what you get - and that goes double for Out From Boneville.

I must say that ?20 each seems a little on the steep side. Especially considering you can buy the two games in a bundle from telltalegames.com for ~?10 (US$20).

Are the two boxes (and any bonus goodies) really worth ?30?

I was initially going to say that I agree, but, on the other hand, it's still cheaper from other new games on the market from retailers such as GAME (avoid like the plague) and ....the other videogame shop I've forgotten the name of.

Fair enough. What's a typical game cost? And what's something like SIN Episodes going for?
  • MrSneeze on 27 Mar, 2007, 23:09…
Amazon.co.uk says ?20 (retail price, although Amazon sells it a fiver cheaper) for SiN, or is that a bundle of episodes? ?35 on new PC games in general (although Bone is a "newly released title in physical format").

Are Bone subscribers going to be getting a CD from TT much like Sam & Max subscribers are?
  • jp-30 on 27 Mar, 2007, 23:20…
I don't think there are 'season subscriptions' for BONE. Just as well given the (lack of) a release schedule. Also I don't think Telltale yet know how many games it will take to tell the whole story.
  • MrSneeze on 27 Mar, 2007, 23:27…
In that case ?20 is indeed a bit over the top for both people who have bought it off TT's website and "unsuspecting customers".
