Back to the Future May Be Coming to More Platforms 24 Aug, 2015 / 6 comments

Gamefly has a listing for a Back to the Future: The Game 30th Anniversary Edition. The game will apparently be coming out for the first time for PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Even more intriguing is the Amazon listing which includes Tom Wilson as Biff Tannen. We'll just have to wait to see if this a mistake on their part, or if Telltale managed another Earl Boen situation and plans to re-release the game with the original actor in the role.

That said, nothing has been confirmed by Telltale yet about this new release, so we'll also have to wait to see if this 30th anniversary edition comes out at all. For what it's worth, Amazon has the release date listed as October 13, 2015.

    Stating that Tom Wilson will voice Biff is surely an error.

    The guy went great lengths to distance himself from anything related to BTTF in the past.
    Bet that's why he never appeared in any of the promotions, including the major ones, that got even the likes of MJ Fox and Chris Lloyd attending. I really doubt that no one asked him.

    Can't believe it's already been 30 years since TellTale released this game. Feels like it was just a few years ago that I had it pre-ordered. Man, time flies...

    Yeah. It's weird branding indeed. They could get away with 5th anniversary branding though (since they released the first episode in 2010).

    Though, I guess it makes sense as it is a part of the 30th anniversary releases of the series to commemorate the first film going on this year, and all three films and the animated series are getting 30th anniversary branding in their 2015 releases too.

    From the features mentioned in the description:

    "Your choices and actions change to story around you"

    That wasn't there yet in Back to the Future was it?

    It was also reported earlier that a Wii U version might be coming of this. That would be awesome since Telltale has completely sucked concerning Wii U support. Might actually buy the game for a second time if it has Tom Wilson and comes to Wii U.

    Kid Beyond did a great job as Biff, as he always does for Telltale. But the absence of Wilson always struck me as odd, especially considering that he's the film alumnus who actually established a VO career.
