Adventure Gamers: Loved 29 Mar, 2004, 17:32 / 29 comments

Mojo: Forgotten. Maybe its because they attended GDC, and I didn't. Maybe its because Chris, their assistant webmaster, has a cool Full Throttle shirt, and nobody on our staff does. Whatever it is, Adventure Gamers is getting some supreme love from Double Fine Action News, with their new best friend Tim, while Mojo sits alone over here.

Why has Adventure Gamers forgotten us? Why has Tim forgotten us? We were even taken off Double Fine's products page when it was made "less manky" back in February. Was the excising of Mojo from the products page the main cause of the de-mankification? Many a tear has been shed, but everything's okay really, since the Double Fine Action Comic is already up to #20, which is a whole lot of comics. If you ask me.

Yeah, well I got to hang out with Mike Nelson!

Then again, it was strange that nobody else wanted to...

Oh man, Tim totally complimented me on my shirt and took my picture. Suck it, Jake.

You know, Cremo, speaking as the only true Messiah of Tim, we ought to crucify you now or something. You've met the man, now the only thing you can do is die...

Hem. Well I could probably, maybe, guess? Isn't Adventure Gamers slightly more respectable for one and secondly, perhaps outrageously obviously: MixNMojo is a LUCASARTS fan site, whereas Adventure Gamers is a adventure game fan site. See?
  • Bobo Donkey? on 30 Mar, 2004, 04:38…
I have a feeling all that is going to change.
  • spaff on 30 Mar, 2004, 09:01…
you can't have a lucasarts fan site without any lucasarts fans... and I dont see any..... do you?
  • Bobo Donkey? on 30 Mar, 2004, 13:02…
In the unlikely event that LucasArts decides to uncancel Sam & Max (or if it turns out to be a gag) then theres a chance that Mojo will be recognised once more by the two sites. If not, then we could give up on LucasArts all together and focus on other adventure games.

    Did that sound right?

Or this news post is a complete joke and I spent all week hanging out with Marek and Chris outside of GDC even though I didn't go to the show itself. ... ?
  • ThunderPeel2001 on 30 Mar, 2004, 14:36…
So it's a joke that only three people will get, then?
  • Jake on 30 Mar, 2004, 14:41…
I don't know if there's anything to "Get," really. I didn't expect people would think I seriously thought about it that seriously. "Their new best friend, Tim Schafer." ?
  • Remi O on 30 Mar, 2004, 14:59…
You'd think lines like "Hopefully in the next couple of days we'll be running some photos taken by Marek of Adventure Gamers, who was fortunate enough to attend." in earlier newsposts would clue non-AG.com readers in on it too.
  • ThunderPeel2001 on 30 Mar, 2004, 15:04…
Hmmmm. So what's the joke again?
  • Dalixam on 30 Mar, 2004, 16:10…
How far to the right can these replies go?
  • ThunderPeel2001 on 31 Mar, 2004, 09:00…
    I don't know...
  • Jake on 31 Mar, 2004, 14:34…
Not much further. Also, the Google ads on the right there are advertising "Action Comics," which I think is kind of amusing.
  • Bobo Donkey? on 30 Mar, 2004, 13:34…
Good point. I never thought of it that way.
  • ThunderPeel2001 on 30 Mar, 2004, 11:49…
    lol!
  • Udvarnoky on 29 Mar, 2004, 18:45…
    I love you.
  • JBRAA on 29 Mar, 2004, 18:43…
So where is the Psychonauts game
  • Tabachinova on 29 Mar, 2004, 18:30…
Maybe it was beacuse the site was down nearly for 3 month, or maybe i'm wrong who knows
  • Remi O on 29 Mar, 2004, 18:26…
This is obviously not the appropriate time to launch a link from the Double Fine to the Mojo. There is currently no plan to reduce staff.
  • Kingzjester on 29 Mar, 2004, 18:09…
*ahm, cough, cough* I am the greatest fan God has ever had and I exist even less than Mojo in the Eyes of Him Who Is Tim.

Disclaimer: This pathetic post exists only so as to make Jake's seem insignificant.
  • jp-30 on 29 Mar, 2004, 17:57…
What we need is an internet petition to correct this injustice. Or, better yet, TWO near identical internet petitions.
  • Jake on 29 Mar, 2004, 18:25…
I approve, as long as at least one is riddled with grammatical errors.
  • jp-30 on 29 Mar, 2004, 21:01…
I'll do the spiffy site redesign for www.heydoublefinestopignoringmixnmojodotcom.com
  • Jake on 29 Mar, 2004, 17:37…
There, I've made good on the whining I promised back on Wednesday.
  • csenosiain on 29 Mar, 2004, 18:59…
About time, but you still owe us two rants.
  • Jake on 29 Mar, 2004, 19:00…
    I do?
  • spaff on 29 Mar, 2004, 19:51…
i now pronounce you man and wife?
