A Vampyre Story to exist! 30 Jun, 2006, 22:39 / 13 comments

After several years of independent pre-production on their highly anticipated adventure title, A Vampyre Story, Autumn Moon has finally signed a deal with a publisher, which is awesome! There's no details or formal press release just yet. "Soon," they say. But the point is that the game is officially picked up and will enter production in the not-too-distant future. Rejoice-worthy news indeed.

Our top secret sources inform us that the publisher probably isn't positioned in Germany.

    Great news!

Bill and all the other great guys at Autumn Moon, have been working really hard on this new game.

My own squad of spys (actually, some trained monkeys), tell me that the publisher is indeed German. Since someone would probably kill me for speaking, I will reveal it in the following encrypted message:

    Discover the wonderful vampires,
    Transilvanian colorful vampires,
Prompting to dance under the Autumn Moon

P.S: Curse you Dan Brown, CURSE YOU!

I really don't know what are you talking about. In fact I don't even know where I am.

Awesome. This is the most anticipated game on my list since Grim Fandango, all because it has that Bill Tiller style, a-la CMI....Now get going guys...*kick in the butt* ;P

Ah, god bless Bill Tiller. Here's to hoping that everything pans out in AME's favor, this time.

We haven't had this much to look forward to in a long time. Sam & Max, Bone, AVS, Double Fine's next game. LucasArts is that obscure rollercoaster game company, right?

This is the best adventure news I've read in a long time. Yay to Bill! Not to be a killjoy, but I have some trouble sharing the wide-spread enthusiasm about TTG or Tim Schafer's latest work. Even though I appreciate their efforts, I think it will take them some time until they get to deliver the quality gaming experience that made LucasArts famous and loved back in the days. Now AVS is a completely different story. It actually looks like it could bring us back what we've been missing out on for so long. Yay again!

Eh? Have you even played Psychonauts? That game just oozes with the aura of classic LucasArts gaming goodness.

Yeah man, only the demo, though, and that didn't really feel all that great. Do you think it didn't do the game justice?
