As we recently learned, in addition to the standard version of the game, you will also have the option (in Germany, at least) of getting an uber ultimate ultra edition of A Vampyre Story for the low low price of EUR 59,95. Now I don't deal in European currency, but that strikes me as being more than a peanut or two.

Other than the cool box that Amazon.de just put up, a strictly English-speaking gent like myself would have a hard time telling you what else the special edition has to offer, but our online siblings at The Pumpkin Post have speculated based on some other guy's speculations that there will be Mona and Froderick figures included, as well as some sort of art book. Nice!

So how about that North American version?

    Hi all,

    I'm still after a Collector's "Special" Edition and I only see it at amazon.de but I do know people from NA have recieved theirs awhile back. When I tried to order it, its not showing Canada on the list, does anyone know where else I could order one from?

    Either that yellow content rating logo is very big, or the box is very small. Other than that, awesome box!

    Attention: The SE does NOT seem to include an artbook. This confusion is because some people who first tried to read the box text thought it would say "Picturette", but it's just "Postkarte" (postcard).

    I'm also a little disappointed that there's no soundtrack included.

    But still, I'm tempted to buy the SE after all.

    I really hope that The Adventure Company and Focus Home will also offer a SE for the American and English markets. Because otherwise they might loose some hardcore fans importing the SE from Germandy. Since it does contain the English version as well...

    My german's a bit rusty - but does the 3rd item indicate a puzzle? Or is that the game itself?

    i can hardly read this, but yes, it looks like puzzle.
    according to gamestar.de there will be the two figures, an artbook and a puzzle.
    does it say "grizzle-puzzle" on the box?

    Maybe I'm just being picky, and our North American box will probably look different anyway, but is it just me or does the Mona on the right side of the box look terrible?

    I think that's meant to be an image of the figure that's included.

    According to a (German) post from Crimson Cow producer Georg Hach, the figure will look a lot better than on this first box draft. The screenshot on amazon.de is supposed to be replaced soon.
