A Thanksgiving Vampyre Story 23 Oct, 2008 / Comments: 7

Confirming what's been listed on a few online retailers, Crimson Cow producer Georg Hach has made a (German) post on the forums for the (German) site Adventure-Treff, in German, confirming November 17th as the game's new official release date. (We can only hope that's worldwide.)

According to The Pumpkin Post, Hach also explains that the German version will include English text and speech, and that the figures included in the special edition will look a lot better than the Amazon.de box (which will soon be replaced) suggests.

With the game due next month, those of you desperate for more adventure gaming in your Halloween may want to look into Telltale's Halloween contest, which closes on Tuesday. We would have told you before, but, you know.

I was so excited for this to come out in time for halloween. I wonder how many times the game has been pushed back so far.

Still, you gotta respect Bill not wanting to release the game until it's ready, and Crimson Cow for letting them do it. I'm sure not every developer gets that opportunity.

What I'm really excited about is the fact that Autumn Moon is not only well into their sequel but apparently already has a publisher for second IP. It seems like they've been really busy during all this time.

I might feel pretty tempted to pick that special edition box up now.

If the Germans are getting the english version on the 17th, I don't see how North Americans would have to wait longer...

And the good news is that there's no indication that we will. I just wouldn't take anything on faith considering how many distributors this game has. (Though, according to Amazon we got the game two days ago!

Now Amazon says "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months."
