Is Joe Vs. The Volcano this movie someone tried to tell me about, where some dumbass from our time gets sent to the future where he seems brilliant compared to everyone else?

I turn it on now and again, mostly to hear the banter. Not really needed at all in this game for hints though, at least not for me.

Yeah. Beta version. It's still playable and I still beat it and I tell you now, I thought it was much LONGER than Ice Station Santa.

Maybe that's just because I thought it was harder, though.

Longer than Ice Station Santa? I still haven't beaten the game! I'm stuck at the first puzzle where the COPS are talking at you about your computer.

How is it that everyone remembers Joe Vs The Volcano? That movie tanked.

What, have you got some sort of brain cloud? That movie ruled! :)

Hey, I'm not saying it's a bad movie. I kind of liked it. But you have to admit that almost no one saw it when it opened. Maybe it's found life on basic cable.

It's one of those movies that pop up on TV from time to time.

I totally agree with this review. I've also found it harder to understand for us non-Americans: too many specifical cultural references. I had to use Wikipedia a lot (except for Glenn Miller, Charles Lindbergh and Jimmy Hoffa, whom I did know, of course).

You know, that's what I most enjoyed about this episode I think - the extremely obscurist humour. I doubt even the Americans know without checking who, say, Marion Davies was.

I attribute the sharpening of the humour in this episode (jokes are drier and dirtier, generally, if that's a possible combination) to Chuck Jackson taking over as lead writer. Am I wrong in thinking this is his first episode in charge?

Also apparently Gametap screwed up and put a tester version of the game on the client, meaning a lot of the game is broken. They say the real version will be up tomorrow.

Ouch. That'll cost them, especially with only one day difference now between the "real" release.

Yes, I know I shouldn't laugh, but the fact that gametappers can't play it until us normal humans, fills me with glee! :)
