I should have mailed it to the Marx Brothers! 31 May, 2009, 01:49 / 13 comments

On the game's official site, LucasArts has uploaded a new video about Staff of Kings (the last clickable one on the right), this one about the game's co-op mode. As if you couldn't have already guessed it (and who knows, maybe it was already announced for all I can remember), the second playable character is none other than Henry Jones, Sr.

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings comes out in North America on June 9th, JUNIOR!

With all the hot air the guy was blowing, I had a momentary lapse of judgment and thought the same thing gab did: that they'd do something genuinely clever and throw Abner Ravenwood into the game.

    Then I woke up.

"...never playable before in an Indy game."

I feel insulted. Not only was the Last Crusade my first adventure game, it was also the first video game I ever played. (Also, you could play as him in the Lego Indy game)

Yeah! I stole that damn ticket! I got the piano player to play! Bah!

Yeah, I mean... huh? I guess "Never before playable in an Indy game, apart from several of the major ones including one we released just a year ago" doesn't sound quite as catchy.

All the way through that video, I kept thinking the same two thoughts:

    "... except for Lego Indy."

    And,

    "NAZIS dammit!!"

On a positive note, the LucasArts logo animation at the start kicks arse!

    the post title's good

unfortunately Henry Sr. isn't that atheletic as he's being used in the game :O

He wouldn't even have gone past the rats!

Not only that, but I don't think he would be using a gun either. :~~~~

Also, "the archaeologist who taught him most of what he knows, his dad..."

I believe that he is actually a professor of Medieval literature, not an archaeologist. And even if he was, I don't think his dad taught him much (they were famously alienated from each other!)

The description fits Abner Ravenwood much better.

yeah :( perhaps they shouldve chosen a new partner? or Ravenwood.. or Sophia.. or Gabez.

It's too bad that in the gameplay movie, you see dr. Henry Jones sr. move exactly the same way as Indy does.

Love the post title too, although this news has been out for a few days...
